RECIPE FOR YUMMY GRILLED AUBERGINE

Serve as the hero of your dish or as a side dish. These sticky sweet and salty grilled aubergines go particularly great with (red) meat dishes such as grilled steak or lamb and oven potatoes. Do try give them a try as a topping on your burger or on a toasted slice of French baguette as a starter. (Think bruschetta-style)

Preparation time: 2 min - Ready in: 15 - 20 min  

Portions: Serves 2 people  

Ingredients:

1 aubergine (bio eggplant)

1 teaspoon of dried rosemary

1 teaspoon of honey

2 tablespoons of olive oil

sea salt (or regular salt)

one baking paper

RECIPE FOR YUMMY GRILLED AUBERGINE

1 Give the aubergine a rinse and dry it off

2 Cut the aubergine into thin round slices (2 - 3 mm max.) 

3 Oil up a grill pan with olive oil and heat up the pan to medium hot heat

5 Bake the aubergine slices on both sides, don't forget to flip them a couple of times (you can always add a bit more olive oil)

6 Add the honey and the rosemary. As soon as the aubergine slices look mellow they are ready to be served

7 Let them rest for a minute on a sheet of baking paper to remove a bit of excess oil

8 Season with salt as desired
